No Smokes Smokeless Cigarette History

Developed by K&B Technologies of Tucson, Arizona. No Smokes inventor, founder Tim Bankert answered the call to innovation. Seeing a need to create a safe alternative to smoking. Tim, after relentless consumer research, understood for a smoking alternative to receive any form of success it needs to resemble a cigarette in appearance, be close in smell, taste, feel and mimic real smoking without the burning of tobacco and the addictive properties of nicotine.

During development they completed in-depth studies of nicotine and how it is received and metabolized within the body through inhalation.

They ultimately found a proprietary blend of tobacco flavors, citrus flavors, Ethyl Nicotinate and N-Methylethanolamine that provide satisfaction to a smoker.

No Smokes Product Description

Each unit contains 100 micro liters of liquid formula that is nebulized within the polyolefin material in the “cigarette barrel”. The barrel is tipped with a 15 mm mouthpiece similar to several popular cigarettes in the world.

The ingredients are tobacco flavorings, citrus flavorings, ethyl nicotinate and N-Methylethanolamine. All ingredients are natural or dietary supplement ingredients already recognized as safe(GRAS).
The No Smokes is housed in a resealable plastic tube for better shelf life and use.

How “No Smokes” Works

Nicotine triggers specific brain receptors that ultimately stimulate the release of acetylcholine and dopamine. Acetylcholine and dopamine are brain neurotransmitters that cause smokers to have a “good” feeling upon smoking a cigarette.

The addictive properties of nicotine keeps the smoker hooked to the tobacco product. Therefore, it was concluded that we would have to include a natural substance that mimics nicotine but without the problems of any toxicity and addiction associated with nicotine.

Acetylcholine and dopamine are also natural biosynthesized products that are produced during the human metabolism of choline and tyrosine which are natural substances found in plants and animal products. As mentioned, the substance selected to be incorporated into our formulation was N-Methylethanolamine that is normally metabolized to choline which in turn is converted into the brain neurotransmitter, acetylcholine.

Therefore, N-Methylethanolamine triggers the nicotinic brain receptors much like nicotine. N-Methylethanolamine is widely used in the health food industry in products that promote increased memory and stress relief.

The other active ingredient, ethyl nicotinate, is a derivative of Vitamin B and is widely used in No Smokes to dilate the capillaries in the lung which nicotine tends to contract.

No Smokes releases a relatively constant amount of our patented formula per use for 15 puffs and maintains this level over an 8 hour period which is equivalent to about one pack of cigarettes.

There is a great rate of absorption of the N-Methylethanolamine by the mucous membranes in the oral cavity. This produces physiological satisfaction.

In this way, smokers receive a safe, natural and satisfying product that mimics the oral and physical sensations of cigarette smoking temporarily satisfying their physiological and psychological needs.

The Market Opportunity for No Smokes

The ever increasing prohibition of smoking in public areas opens huge opportunities. Use NO SMOKES SMOKELESS when you find yourself in a situation where smoking is prohibited( planes, cars, offices, restaurants, public buildings, etc).

It can also be used by those wanting to cut back or even stop smoking. However, we do not claim it to be a cessation device or a way of mitigating tobacco related illnesses.

Labeling on packaging would include such phrases as “Do Not Light”, puff on the No Smokes as you would a cigarette, use over a 2 minute period taking 8-10 puffs.

The fierce debate in the smokeless industry between the FDA and the e-cigarette smokeless although contentious has really been an asset bringing much needed awareness.

The holy grail of delivering to the public a healthy cigarette has been to date unattainable.

As Dietrich Hoffmann of the American Health Foundation says, “The best cigarette is no cigarette.”
